Rena Sofer
Rena Sherel, born on December 2 1968 is an American actress. She is most famous for her roles on daytime TV, episodic guest appearances and made for television movies. Sofer was given the Daytime Emmy Award in 1995 for her performance in the role of Lois Cerullo on the soap opera General Hospital. She played Quinn Fuller in the CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful from 2013 until 2022.
Childhood and early life
Sofer was born in Arcadia (California) The daughter of Susan Sofer (nee Franzblau) who is a psychologist and Martin Sofer, who is an Orthodox Rabbi.
Sofer moved with her father as well as her brother David to Teaneck, New Jersey, in 1970. They resided in Western Pennsylvania when Sofer was five years old. They were raised in Ambridge, Pennsylvania by their father, Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She later attended the Frisch School in Paramus, New Jersey, which is coeducational Modern Orthodox Jewish high-school. Sofer grew up in North Bergen where her father was the synagogue rabbi Temple Beth El. She attended North Bergen High School, after which she attended classes at Montclair State College.
Career
Television during the daytime
Lois Marie Cerullo was the first Lois Marie Cerullo that Sofer played on General Hospital. She first appeared in 1993 as the manager of a group. Her first big-name role was as Rocky McKenzie on the daytime soap series Loving (1988-91).
