Gugulethu-Sofia Mbatha or Gugu Mbatha Raw is an actor from the UK who earned notoriety for her part in 'Doctor Who.' This British TV science-fiction series was airing on BBC. After more than ten years combating breast cancer, Handler died in 1989. Handler's dad is Jewish and she was raised up Reform Judaism. Handler was blessed with a joyful and healthy life in a good neighbourhood. When she was in her early 20s Handler moved to Los Angeles in order to take on acting. Handler was an actor to help support her family. Handler took the decision to concentrate on stand-up after she turned 21 following the realization of her storytelling skills. Handler made her debut on the Oxygen Network's Girls Behaving Poorly, a reality show with the use of a hidden camera/practical joke. It was in air from 2002 to 2005. The host then appeared in other programs such as Weekends at the D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler worked on The Tonight Show for a period of time as a correspondent. Handler had her biggest break in 2006, as she took over hosting of E! called The Chelsea Handler Show. The Chelsea Handler show ran for two years. Handler was a performer at The Comedy Central Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour in the United States in the following year. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend and HBO have aired her stand-up performance. In 2010 she was selected for the role of host at 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. The only woman ever to host the VMAs, after Roseanne Bar.
